About me

Hi, I'm Jess. I'm a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering trauma-informed, person-centred therapy for adults.

I know that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to begin this process. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or carrying the impact of trauma or difficult relationships. Whatever you're navigating, you deserve a safe, supportive space to explore your experiences.

My approach is primarily person-centred, with an interest in psychodynamic thinking. I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your feelings, relationships, and patterns at your own pace. My role is to walk alongside you as you deepen your self-understanding and develop greater self-acceptance.

My counselling approach is rooted in a relational, trauma-informed, person-centred way of being. I work from the belief that people already hold the wisdom and capacity they need, and my role is to create the kind of relationship where that can safely emerge. Attunement, presence, and genuine human connection sit at the heart of my practice. I pay close attention to pacing, permission, and embodied cues, holding the frame clearly while staying flexible and responsive to what each client needs.

I'm deeply aware of the wider systems people move through, and how experiences of marginalisation, trauma, or being unseen can shape a person's internal world. Because of this, I aim to offer a space that feels de-shaming, validating, and empowering: somewhere you can bring the parts of yourself that have been dismissed or silenced elsewhere. My work is grounded in compassion and centred on supporting you to reclaim agency in ways that feel authentic to you.
