About me

Hi, I’m Matt. I know how difficult it can feel to take the first step towards therapy, but I also believe it can be life changing when you find the right person to talk to. My work is grounded in the understanding that thoughts and emotions are deeply connected. Thoughts arise in the mind, while emotions are experienced in the body, and when this connection is overlooked it can leave people stuck in unhelpful cycles. My role is to help you find a way through those patterns, so you can move towards feeling calmer and more at peace.

I draw on a unique therapeutic system that blends modern integrative counselling with visualisation, somatic awareness, and mindfulness. These methods work together to help you process difficult emotions while also breaking the thought patterns that maintain them. I have supported people with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, OCD, depression, self-harm, trauma, low self-esteem, anger issues, relationship issues, bereavement, and life changes. Whatever brings you here, you remain the expert on yourself, and our work will always be collaborative, helping you to find the answers that feel right for you.

Alongside counselling, I am also a qualified mindfulness and meditation teacher. Meditation, for me, is not about religion or lifestyle trends but about giving people practical tools to calm the mind and find clarity. Clients often describe sessions as safe, supportive, and even transformative. Many leave with a sense of stability and hope that had previously felt out of reach. I believe that by combining exploration, integration, and meditation, people can learn to meet themselves with greater compassion and begin to build a more balanced and fulfilling life.
