About me

Hi, I’m Jane, a person-centred therapist based in Manchester. I’m passionate about helping people find their strengths, believe in themselves, and build more meaningful lives. For me, therapy isn’t only about self-improvement — it’s also about letting go of the versions of ourselves we’ve created just to get through difficult times, and finding our way back to who we really are.

My own path into counselling was shaped by personal experiences of trauma, sadness, and loss. I know how heavy life can feel when we’re carrying unresolved pain, and I’m grateful for the support that helped me through. Now I offer that same safe, supportive space to others, bringing both professional training and lived experience to my work.

I’ve been practising for over five years, supporting adults from many different backgrounds. I often work with people navigating issues around abuse, relationship struggles, and identity — including race, culture, and belonging. Clients describe my style as warm and open, and I aim to create a space where you can talk honestly, feel understood, and explore what you need to move forward.

My approach is grounded in the person-centred model, which means our work is based on empathy, trust, and collaboration. I’ll listen without judgement and respect your pace, while also being honest about what the process involves. Therapy does take commitment, and much of the growth happens between sessions as well as within them. I offer both short- and long-term therapy, online and in person, so we can shape the work in a way that feels right for you.
