Background

Hi, I’m Tom. Therapy can be a turning point — a space to explore things we’ve carried for too long. I trained as a psychodynamic therapist after years working in addiction services, where I saw the impact of unaddressed trauma, shame, and emotional pain.

I support adults experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship breakdowns, and issues with trust or self-worth. Often, these difficulties have been present for some time. My goal is to help you understand how past experiences influence present struggles and how we can move forward with greater insight.

I offer a calm, non-judgemental environment where we can explore things at your pace. There’s no pressure to perform — just the invitation to reflect, feel, and grow.

My Approach

My work is human-first and shaped by the values of empathy, authenticity, and deep listening. I practise from an integrative foundation, blending person-centred and pluralistic approaches with behavioural tools and creative elements—always adapting to your unique needs.

I work psychodynamically, which means I help you explore unconscious patterns and how your early attachments may affect your current emotional life. This approach suits clients who want a deeper understanding of themselves and are open to long-term, reflective work.
