About me

Hi, I'm Eve. I am a Master's qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor drawing from the humanistic approaches to therapy, working with adults and couples, and also as a counselling supervisor.

With over 18 years of experience and several thousand clinical hours practised, I have a vast understanding of the very many problems and states of being that clients bring to the counselling room. As a registered member of BACP (MBACP), I have worked as a counsellor and supervisor in the NHS, education, a sexual health clinic, medical charities, and extensively in private practice. I have managed a counselling service in a women's centre and have also lectured in counselling and psychotherapy at two UK universities and delivered counselling training to groups of social workers and teachers.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space with a warm, supportive welcome for whatever you wish to bring to work on and unpack. I am ready to facilitate at your pace, towards your personal goals for therapy outcomes.

My way of working is drawn from the person-centred approach to facilitating therapy, blended with skills and techniques from additional humanistic approaches. This enables work tailored to you, both in brief and longer-term counselling relationships.

The person-centred approach focuses upon each unique individual holistically, seeing and experiencing the whole person with mind, body, and even their spirituality in mind. This way of working brings you to experience yourself non-judgementally: how you are as a person, and how you are in relationships. As a better understanding of self and others begins to emerge through a trusting, developing relationship with me, emotional development is made possible and you can move forward in a journey towards increased self-confidence, clarity, and greater happiness and fulfilment in life.

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or any other challenge, I bring depth of experience and a genuine commitment to supporting you in moving towards the life you want.
