About me
Hi, I’m Fabian. I believe that therapy should always be shaped around you — your needs, your goals, and what feels most supportive at this stage of your journey. My early training was rooted in humanistic values, with person-centred and existential approaches at the core of my practice. I also integrate CBT and DBT techniques when more practical strategies are needed, whether that’s learning to manage emotions, cope with difficult situations, or simply start getting by day to day. This flexibility allows us to adapt the work as your circumstances evolve, keeping therapy meaningful and relevant.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, abuse, and loss. Alongside this, I have developed particular expertise in addiction and recovery through my work with Red Rose Recovery in Lancashire and an NHS drug and alcohol treatment service. I’ve supported people at many different stages of their recovery journey — from those still using, through early abstinence, to those seeking to rebuild long-term meaning and purpose. Whatever your situation, I believe counselling can provide a valuable space to reflect, gain clarity, and strengthen resilience.
In addition, I have worked with clients exploring aspects of identity and self-expression. My time at Body Positive Cheshire & North Wales gave me experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients with gender transition, sexuality, and the challenges that can arise in these areas. I also take an interest in men’s issues, recognising how difficult it can sometimes be to express or even identify emotions. For some, therapy can help to build the language and confidence to face these challenges; for others, it is simply a safe, supportive space to be heard. Whatever your background or reason for seeking therapy, I will work alongside you with empathy, openness, and respect.
