About me

Hi, I'm Abby. I'm an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working with individuals and couples in Central Manchester. I support people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally disconnected, or struggling within their relationships. Perhaps you're navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a sense of losing touch with yourself. Therapy offers a confidential, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface.

I bring a relational and holistic perspective to my practice, recognising the connection between mind, body, emotions, and environment. My approach is integrative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs, drawing primarily on Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.

Using Transactional Analysis, I help clients explore patterns that may have developed earlier in life and understand how these influence current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This awareness can be powerful in creating change and helping you relate to yourself and others in new ways. I also offer specialist couples therapy using the Imago Dialogue Process, a structured approach that helps partners communicate more safely, listen deeply, and rebuild trust and emotional connection.

I incorporate embodied and somatic perspectives into my work, supporting clients to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and sense of aliveness. Where appropriate, I offer a nature-informed approach, recognising the therapeutic value of the natural world in supporting regulation, reflection, and healing.

My background includes an MSc in Organisational and Social Psychology and a BA in Social Work, which give me a broad understanding of how personal, relational, and systemic factors intersect to influence wellbeing. I understand that reaching out for support takes courage.

If you're feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps, therapy can help you reconnect with what matters most and move towards a more grounded, fulfilling way of living. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, curiosity, and support as you explore what feels difficult and work towards greater clarity, connection, and emotional wellbeing.
