About me

Hi, I'm Donna. I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist with a Masters degree (Distinction) from the University of Salford. Before training as a therapist, I worked for over 20 years in nursing and social work, which gave me a deep understanding of how life's challenges can impact our mental health and wellbeing.

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply struggling to make sense of things, therapy can provide the support and clarity you need.

My approach is person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, understanding, and a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. I tailor my approach to your individual needs, working at a pace that feels right for you.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, especially if you've never done it before. I aim to make the process as comfortable as possible, providing a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly about what's going on for you. Whether you're dealing with immediate challenges or working through longer-term issues, I'm here to support you.

I have experience working with people facing a wide range of difficulties, and I bring both professional expertise and genuine care to my work. My background in nursing and social work has taught me the importance of treating the whole person, recognising that our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing are all connected.

I offer both online and face-to-face sessions in Manchester, giving you flexibility in how you access therapy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, trauma, or simply feeling lost, I'm here to help you find your way forward towards a more fulfilling life.
