About me

Hi! I'm Corinna, and my journey as a therapist began in 2018 when I realised how much I enjoy helping people to heal, grow, and overcome the challenges they're facing. I completed my Counselling & Psychotherapy Masters in 2020 and have provided therapy in various settings, including with survivors of domestic abuse and for an LGBTQ+ charity.

I set up in private practice because I wanted to provide a therapy service that feels down-to-earth, approachable, and relatable. I typically work with people on both a shorter and longer-term basis, depending on what's going on for you.

I've supported clients across a wide range of issues over the years, including anxiety, depression, loss, relationship issues, and family issues. I particularly enjoy working with self-compassion and self-esteem. We all need support overcoming that loud inner critic sometimes!

Clients have described me as compassionate, calm, and supportive. I care hugely about the clients I work with and believe it's the relationship we build together that makes the biggest difference in therapy. Sometimes we all need a safe space where we can heal our wounds, speak openly about what's going on for us, and be supported through difficult times, without worrying that we'll be judged or shamed.

I'm trained in the person-centred approach, which means your sessions are your space and your time to focus on what you want to focus on. I'll work with you to come to a deeper understanding of the challenges or difficulties you're experiencing. We'll identify new perspectives or approaches that can help you move forwards and which will empower you to make positive changes in your life.

I think therapy works best when there's a good balance of support and challenge, so this is something I'll always try to offer you. Every client is unique, so I'll always tailor my approach to make your sessions work best for you. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or struggling with self-esteem, I'm here to walk alongside you and support you in moving towards a more fulfilling life.
