About me

Hi, I’m Alice. I’m a person-centred therapist with experience supporting people across the lifespan, from children and teenagers to adults and older clients navigating later-life transitions. I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including academic pressure, identity development, emotional overwhelm, and major life changes such as retirement or loss. I approach each client with care and curiosity, meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

I recognise that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, which is why I place strong importance on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. As a culturally responsive and racially sensitive therapist, I am comfortable exploring experiences connected to race, culture, identity, and belonging. I remain mindful of the wider social and systemic factors that can shape mental health, and I strive to create an environment where all parts of you are welcome in the therapeutic process.

My core approach is person-centred therapy, which focuses on reflection, emotional processing, and developing deeper self-awareness. Alongside this, I draw on creative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and solution-focused approaches, allowing our work to be flexible and collaborative rather than prescriptive. I understand that talking alone can sometimes feel overwhelming, so creative methods may be used to support emotional expression and depth when helpful. These approaches can be particularly supportive for work around trauma, bereavement, inner child experiences, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion, supporting you to build self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful personal growth.
