About me
Hi, I’m Leila. I am a compassionate counsellor supporting adults and young professionals as they navigate life’s challenges and work towards building a stronger sense of self. Many of the people I work with experience anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, anger, or difficulties in relationships. I understand that seeking counselling can feel daunting, which is why I focus on creating a calm, safe space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. My aim is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.
My approach is person-centred and integrative, which means you remain at the heart of the therapeutic process while I draw on different evidence-based approaches to support you. Together, we will explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, combining practical strategies with deeper emotional reflection. Whether you are looking for structure and goals or prefer a more exploratory process, each session will be adapted to fit your needs.
I integrate elements from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. This allows me to tailor therapy to your goals — whether that’s managing unhelpful thought patterns, regulating emotions, or developing self-awareness and self-compassion. My approach supports clients in overcoming perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism, and low confidence, while helping them build stronger relationships and resilience. My goal is to offer a space where you feel understood, valued, and able to explore life’s challenges in a way that feels both safe and empowering.
