Hi, I’m Daniel, a counsellor based in Manchester. I work with adults who are juggling a lot — whether that’s managing anxiety, pressure at work, relationship challenges, or simply the feeling that you always have to hold everything together. I know how overwhelming it can be when you’re carrying a lot on your shoulders, and therapy can provide the space to pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of it.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent many years working in emergency services. That experience showed me how vital it is to have a space where you can speak honestly and be heard without judgement. I bring that understanding into my practice today, offering a calm and respectful environment where you don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
My approach is primarily CBT-informed, which means I’ll support you in recognising and shifting unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour. This can involve learning practical strategies to manage anxiety, stress, or low mood, while also developing greater self-awareness about what underlies those difficulties. I aim to balance insight with action, so that therapy feels both reflective and practical.
Sessions with me are collaborative — I see therapy as something we do together, rather than me telling you what to do. Whether we meet in person or online, my focus is on creating a supportive, grounded space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Many clients find that having both the chance to talk openly and the tools to take away helps them build resilience and make positive changes between sessions.
