Background
Hi, I’m Amina. Therapy can be one of the few places where we get to pause — to stop explaining, pleasing, or performing. I offer a space where you can arrive just as you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or simply unsure where to start.
My background includes work in community mental health, and I’ve supported adults dealing with anxiety, burnout, low confidence, and identity-related struggles. I also work with people who are adjusting to life transitions or trying to navigate multiple cultural or family expectations.
You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out. Sometimes just feeling persistently “not yourself” is reason enough. Together, we’ll begin making sense of things — gently, at your pace, and without judgement.
I bring warmth, openness, and steady support to every session, so you don’t have to carry it all on your own.
My Approach
I work integratively, which means I tailor counselling to suit you. I draw from person-centred, relational, and psychodynamic approaches, depending on what feels most helpful. This allows us to explore both your current concerns and any deeper patterns or past experiences that may be influencing them.
In our work, I’ll support you to connect more deeply with your emotions, needs, and values. I aim to create a space that is both emotionally safe and culturally sensitive — where all parts of your identity are welcome and understood.
Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply a place to speak freely, I’m here to help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.
