Background

Hi, I’m Patrycja, I’m a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My journey into counselling began through voluntary work with Age UK, where I supported adults dealing with grief, anxiety, and depression. I’ve continued this path through my current role with Trafford Carers, working with individuals who care for loved ones during some of life’s most challenging times.

In my private practice, I work with adults from all walks of life. I offer a calm, respectful space where you can explore your experiences without pressure or judgement. By combining Person-Centred Therapy with CBT techniques, I aim to offer the best of both—emotional understanding and practical tools to support change. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you find clarity, confidence, and resilience, at your own pace.

My Approach

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and respected. That’s why I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space where we can work together to explore what’s going on for you. At the heart of my practice is a Person-Centred Approach, which means we move at your pace and focus on what feels important to you.

Alongside this, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you build practical skills to manage difficult thoughts, unhelpful patterns, or emotional overwhelm. Where Person-Centred Therapy offers insight and self-understanding, CBT provides structure and strategies you can use in everyday life.

Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I see our work as a collaboration—supporting you to find the best path forward, based on your own values, strengths, and insight.

How do I know if this therapist is right for me?

It’s normal to feel unsure at first. Reading a therapist’s profile can help, and our team can guide you based on your needs. Plus, you’re covered by our Matching Guarantee for added peace of mind.

Do I need a referral from my GP to begin therapy?

No referral is needed. You can self-refer anytime, whether you’re new to therapy or returning.

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is a chance to meet your therapist, talk about what’s brought you here, and see how therapy could help. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you give 24 hours’ notice (Mon–Fri), you can get a full refund or reschedule once. With less than 24 hours’ notice, fees are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to rebook.

Is there a Guarantee?

Yes. Our Matching Guarantee means if your first therapist doesn’t feel like the right fit, we’ll rematch you once and cover the cost of your first session with the new therapist.
