Background

Hi, I’m Gordon. I’m a qualified counsellor working in central Manchester, where I offer both in-person and online sessions from my dedicated consulting room. Born and raised in London, my own experience of therapy helped me begin to understand and untangle my emotions and relationships—and it led me toward this work.

The world can feel like a chaotic place, full of uncertainty, change, and emotional complexity. It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, to struggle with unknowns, and to carry things we haven’t fully understood. My aim is to support you through that process. I believe that no two people experience life the same way, so therapy must be a collaborative, bespoke response to your needs.

Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, struggling with change, or trying to make sense of deeper patterns, I offer a reliable, consistent space where we can work together at your pace. For many clients, therapy becomes a place to build self-awareness, clarity, and hope—especially when life feels uncertain.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means we pay close attention to the patterns and behaviours that may be happening beneath the surface. Often, the way we relate to others—or to ourselves—can be shaped by early experiences and unconscious responses. Together, we work to understand those responses more clearly, so that you can live with greater awareness and emotional freedom.

I view therapy as a steady process. I typically meet clients at the same time each week, offering a consistent space that can feel like a crutch while life regains its balance. Some people choose long-term, open-ended therapy; others have different needs—and I’ll always respect what feels right for you.

I support clients in honouring both their internal world (how they feel and think) and their external world (relationships, environment, culture). At the heart of my work is the belief that fresh starts may stir up unknowns, but through therapy, you can begin to make peace with those ripples. Even the final session matters deeply—it’s your opportunity to bring closure with care, and the door remains open if you ever wish to return.
